Vision Quest Project - Day 9 - REPORT

Current Status Report

Once again, I want to say Thank You.

Thank you for being supportive and paying attention to my Vision Quest Project.

I decided to end the fast today. As I said from the very beginning and as I said all along, I was going to take this fast hour by hour, day by day. I also said that I was going to listen to my body.

Well, my body told me today that it was time to end the fast. 9 days is the longest fast I’ve ever done and there will be plenty of time to do more fasts in the future.

What Was The Hardest Part Of Day Nine?

Actually, I didn’t sleep very well last night and I tossed and turned for a while before I finally fell asleep.

From the moment I woke up today, I was jumpy and just all in all didn’t feel good. From everything I’ve read about fasting, it means that my body was throwing off a lot of toxins and that’s what was causing the discomfort.

The literature I’ve read also suggested that longer fasts are not always better than a bunch of shorter ones.

For that reason, I chose to end it today. To resume eating, but to be careful and to eat a very balanced, very good diet.

Then, a month or two from now, when I’m rested, it will be time to do it again.

What Did I Eat Today?

I broke the fast first by eating some stewed tomatoes. That is a very good food to get the stomach working again.

Later in the day, I ate some stir fried snow peas, with red peppers and a little tofu mixed in. Light, easy on the stomach, but still real food.

What Did I Drink Today?

Purified water. AND, some diet soda, caffeine free.

How Do I Feel?

I feel great. But, it was time to end the fast. Plain and simple, I didn’t need to keep fasting just to prove how tough I was. I accomplished my main goals, which was to do a major detoxification, which I can tell I did.

What Now?

What happens now is that I want to maintain an excellent diet. I’m even learning to eat some foods that I have not eaten in the past.

I’m also going to resume my exercise program tomorrow.

So, the Vision Quest Project continues, but I’m not going to be fasting at the moment.
