Flora:

I'm proud of you. Losing weight a little bit at a time is a good way to do it. I used to weigh 367 pounds (15 years ago) and that's how I lost a bunch of weight.

Walking is a good exercise. Just keep it up. How much walking do you do on days when you walk?

One thing I've done is that I have a treadmill at home, which makes it really easy to walk. BUT, one of the great things about walking is that it can be done outside (or in the mall even) at absolutely no cost whatsoever. If you can afford a treadmill and you have the room for it, you may want to consider getting one. Otherwise, walking outside is great.

Have you tried finding a walking buddy? That makes it easier to walk when you have someone to talk with while walking.

In any event, you're on the right track. Keep it up. Keep us informed as to how it's going.

Thanks for sharing your vision quest with us. My goal is to lose weight a little at a time, the same way I gained it. To accomplish that I'm eating healthier--vegs, fruit, fish, fiber--and exercising--I love to walk and my goal is daily, but so have done 4 consecutive days in one week and 2 to 3 days most weeks.
