Success Quote Of The Day – 04/04/2008
by Stanley Bronstein on April 4, 2008
Lack of will power has caused more failure than lack of intelligence or ability.
– Flower A. Newhouse
Lack – Deficiency or absence of something needed.
Will – The power of control the mind has over its own actions.
Power – Ability to do or act. Capability of doing or accomplishing something.
Cause – A person or thing that acts, happens or exists in such a way that some specific thing happens as a result. The producer of an effect.
Failure -An act or instance of being unsuccessful. A person or thing that proves to be unsuccessful. A lack of success.
Intelligence – Capacity for learning, reasoning, understanding. The faculty of understanding. Aptitude in grasping truths, relationships, facts, meanings, etc.
Ability – Power or capacity to act physically, mentally, legally, morally, financially, etc. Competence in an activity or occupation because of one’s skill, training, or other qualification.
What does this all mean?
It suggests that the deficiency or absence of control over one’s actions results in a greater lack of success than the deficiency or absence of aptitude, understanding or competence.
What do I think about this?
It should come as no surprise to you that I agree with this statement completely. Will power is a key component of Achievement IQ and the Laws of Positioning.
The fourth (and possibly most important) characteristic of Achievement IQ is the willingness to take action, in a manner most others would not. Think about this for a moment. We can see opportunities all around us. We can attract opportunities. We can even get ourselves ready to take advantage of these opportunities. BUT, if we are unwilling (or unable) to act once these opportunities come our way, they will pass us by. We will have failed to take advantage of these opportunities.
Have you ever seen intelligent and/or competent people fail?
You bet ! It happens all the time. Please don’t misunderstand me. I do believe that improving your intelligence and competence are important skills we should constantly work on for our entire lives. BUT, they are not the be-all or the end-all of everything. We must also work on developing our will power. I know the best times in my life; the times when I’ve enjoyed the greatest success; have been the times when I set my mind to a given task and decided that I wasn’t going to stop until I had accomplished that task.
What does this mean for you, the reader?
It means that you, the reader, need to make up your mind, RIGHT NOW, that you are going to do what it takes, for as long as it takes, to accomplish your goals. RIGHT NOW ! It really is that simple. It is a matter of making up our minds. Remember, the universe is listening. The moment we make up our minds that we are going to do what it takes, for as long as it takes, the universe will hear that. With that simple statement, your ability to achieve (your Achievement IQ) will improve dramatically.
You WILL begin to see opportunities all around you. You WILL begin to attract opportunities everywhere you turn. You WILL position yourself so that you are ready to take advantage of these opportunities once they do come your way. And lastly, you WILL act upon these opportunities once they do come your way. You WILL succeed like you have never succeeded before. You WILL open yourself up and your gift will find you.
One person who talks about gifts is Charlie “Tremendous” Jones of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. For those who have been reading this blog for a while, you know that I like to quote Charlie quite a bit. That’s because, quite simply, he might just be the most amazing man I have ever met. He is powerful and yet kind. He is loved by all who meet him.
If you want to know about gifts, you should watch the short video of Charlie below.
Charlie “Tremendous” Jones is one of the persons who will be featured in my upcoming book:

Until next time, take care.
