Recognizing Distractions

Recognizing A Problem Is The First Step Toward Solving A Problem.
Today’s Meditation
Recognizing that something is a distraction is 90% of what it takes to push it aside.
Once you realize something is distracting you, it only takes 10% more effort to go the rest of the distance and push it aside.
With that in mind, today’s meditation is all about you setting aside 10 minutes to make a list of the distractions in your life.
These might be work related or personal in nature.
Once you have completed the list, examine it closely and see if you have control over any of these distractions.
If you have control, simply decide how you will make them go away.
If you do not have control, get away from these distractions. By doing this, you can make them appear to be unreal, at least from your perspective.
My next post will talk about expectations . . .
Analysis
As you meditate upon this thought, ask yourself the following questions:
- What are some of the distractions in your life?
- Do you have control over these distractions?
- How have you dealt with these distractions in the past?
- How might you deal with them better in the future?
Until next time, take care.
