Reality

You Create Your Own Reality.

WHAT IS REALITY?

Dictionary.com defines reality as:

  • something that constitutes a true or actual thing (not merely ostensible, nominal or apparent), as distinguished from something that is merely apparent.
  • existing or occurring as fact; actual rather than imaginary, ideal, or fictitious
  • being an actual thing; having objective existence; not imaginary

REAL THINGS ACTUALLY EXIST

Real things are things that actually exist.  They’re not just made up.  They’re not just apparent.  They’re not imaginary.  They actually exist!

OUR PERCEPTIONS AFFECT OUR REALITY

Unfortunately, our perceptions affect our reality.

There is a saying:

The real world is what I see.  The real world is what you see.  Strangely, they are never the same real worlds.

In other words, the way we look at things (our perception) affects what is real for us.

In other words, our internal vision of reality (the one we perceive)may be different from the external vision of reality (the one others around us perceive).

INFLUENCE AND CONTROL

Unfortunately, we can’t always influence beliefs and perceptions that are external to us.

However, we can definitely influence beliefs and perceptions that are internal to us.

So, that’s what we must do.

We must influence and shape our own internal perceptions, VERY carefully.  By doing so, we are quite literally “creating our own reality.”

A QUESTION

So, I ask you.  If you’re the one who’s going to shape your reality, shouldn’t you shape it into a good one?
