Preparing To Win

The Will To Win Is Not Nearly As Important
As The Will To Prepare To Win
(Bobby Knight)
Accomplishing Our Goals Will Make Us Winners
When we succeed at accomplishing our goals, we win. Everybody wants to win, but not everybody is willing to do what it takes to prepare to win. Speaking from personal experience, there have been times in my life when I desperately wanted to achieve one goal or another. Notwithstanding, it was only when I decided that I was willing to do what it took to achieve that goal that I was actually able to accomplish my desired objective.
Wanting To Win Versus Preparing To Win
Wanting to win is only the first step in the process of winning. It is also the easiest step. On the other hand, preparing to win is much more difficult. Preparing to win requires figuring out many things, including what it will take to win and what you are willing to do to win. The more we are willing to do what it takes to win, the greater our likelihood of winning will be.
Are You Willing To Do Whatever It Takes?
How strongly do you want to win? Are you willing to do whatever it takes to win, or are you only willing to go halfway? When you are willing to do whatever it takes, then you are ready to proceed.
If you are not yet fully and unequivocally convinced that you are willing to do whatever it takes to succeed, then you’re not ready. If that is the case, I would suggest reading the following articles I’ve written. They are designed to help inspire you to do whatever it takes to be a winner.
Success Takes A Lot Of Hard Work
Timing - Now Is The Time IF You Are Ready
Reading these articles will help you realize that you can and will achieve whatever goals you set before yourself. All it takes is the desire to make it so and the willingness to make it happen.
Remember, the most successful people are the ones who are willing to do whatever it takes to win. I want you to be one of those people. If you are ready, it is time for us to move on.
Today’s Video
One person who is willing to do what it takes to prepare to win is Calvin F. Williams, Jr. of Greensboro, North Carolina. Calvin is the owner / CEO of XMG Web Development Services. In this video, Calvin talks about the steps he took to prepare to be elected Student Body President at his college.
Calvin F. Williams, Jr. is one of the persons who will be featured in my upcoming book:
50 Stories About Powerful People
Who Positioned Themselves To The Top

Hey Stanley! Good article - I’ve found that many people merely want something - I want a holiday, a house by the beach, the good things in life - but they don’t actually will it, or are prepared to do what it takes, just like you said. The articles you have provided are a treasure chest.
