Laws of Positioning - What Are They About?

by Stanley Bronstein on February 14, 2008

The Laws of Positioning is quite different from the Law of Attraction. The premise behind the Laws of Positioning states that:

The most successful people and organizations tend to have 4 traits in common:

  • VISION - They recognize details and opportunities that most others do not see, thus putting themselves in a position of readiness;
  • ATTRACTION - They put themselves in a position to attract opportunities;
  • READINESS - They put themselves in a position to be ready to take advantage of those opportunities once they do come their way; and
  • ACTION - They take action upon those details and opportunities in a manner that most others would not, thus putting themselves in a position to be more successful than most.

As you can readily see, attraction (which is the major premise behind The Secret) is only one small component of what is done by truly successful people.

Having recently completed a nationwide driving tour where I interviewed over 80 highly successful people, these were the 4 traits I found they all had in common.

Over the next few months, we are going to break the individual Laws of Positioning down into each of its component elements. It should prove to be an interesting journey.

If you enjoyed this post, make sure you Stumble It!
Until next time, take care, my dear friends.

Excellent deduction. I think it works not just for the success of organizations but also for relationships.

Thank you for your kind words Eva. The Laws of Positioning® have grown out of many interviews with highly successful people. As I spoke to them, more and more similarities between them became apparent. The Laws of Positioning® are the result.

Take care.

Hi Stan,

I just read your Laws of Positioning then listen to the audio that you have posted regarding the interviews that your developed those laws from.

The Audio is a great overview for the book. I need to read through your post about those laws next so I can catch up with you in present time.

It’s refreshing to see some original material.

Nick

Nick:

Thank you for your kind words and it’s nice to know that “original” material is appreciated as I’ve put a lot of time into this (but it’s been a labor of love).
