Quote #1 – Definitions

Only – No more than; merely; just.

Strong – Especially able, competent, or powerful in a specific field or respect. Powerful in influence, authority, resources, or means of prevailing or succeeding. Of great force, effectiveness, potency, or cogency; compelling.

Personality / Personalities – The quality of being a person; existence as a self-conscious human being; personal identity. The essential character of a person. A person as an embodiment of a collection of qualities.

Can – To be able to; have the ability, power, or skill to. To have the power or means to.

Endure – To hold out against; sustain without impairment or yielding; undergo. To bear without resistance or with patience; tolerate.

History – The branch of knowledge dealing with past events. The aggregate of past events. Acts, ideas, or events that will or can shape the course of the future; immediate but significant happenings.

Weak – Not strong; liable to yield, break, or collapse under pressure or strain; fragile; frail. Lacking in bodily strength or healthy vigor, as from age or sickness; feeble; infirm.

Ones – Being a member or element of a group, category, or kind. Characterized as being part of a unity; undivided.

Extinguish(ed) – To put an end to or bring to an end; wipe out of existence; annihilate. To put out (a fire, light, etc.); put out the flame of (something burning or lighted).

What Does Quote #1 Mean?

To me, it means you have to be strong, IF YOU WANT TO SURVIVE. Weak people; weak ideas, get pushed back and buried all the time. It’s only natural.

Only the strong will survive. If you want to survive, you have to be strong.

I wish that was not the case, but I learned a long time ago to NOT argue with reality. And face it, that is part of reality.

Never – Not ever; at no time. Not at all; absolutely not: never mind.

Determination – The act of coming to a decision or of fixing or settling a purpose. Ascertainment, as after observation or investigation.

Succeed – To happen or terminate according to desire; turn out successfully; have the desired result. To accomplish what is attempted or intended.

Strong – Especially able, competent, or powerful in a specific field or respect. Powerful in influence, authority, resources, or means of prevailing or succeeding. Of great force, effectiveness, potency, or cogency; compelling.

Enough – Adequate for the want or need; sufficient for the purpose or to satisfy desire. In a quantity or degree that answers a purpose or satisfies a need or desire; sufficiently.

What Does Quote #2 Mean?

Quite simply, it means that you will NEVER, EVER, EVER fail, if your determination is strong enough.

That is such an important point that more of us need to learn.

Strength will persevere. We have to maintain our strength. We have to build our strength. If we do so, we have the strength to prevail over virtually anything.

So What’s The Point?  – A Strong Determination To Succeed That’s What!

That’s the whole point here.  We have to decide that we are going to succeed no matter what.

Why?

It’s because life is going to beat us up.  Circumstances are going to beat us up.  Stuff is going to happen.  No matter how strong we are.  No matter how determined we are. Stuff IS going to happen.

That’s not the issue here.

The issue is not whether stuff is going to happen to us.  The issue is what are we going to do as a result of the stuff that happens.

Let me repeat.

Stuff is going to happen to us.  That’s one of the few things I can be 100% certain about.  The trick that successful people have mastered is that they have developed the strength to deal with that stuff.

Successful people are strong enough to deal with the stuff that happens.

Unsuccessful people are not.

Now do you see why I believe strength is so important?
