Position Yourself To Be Secure

Most people never feel secure because they are always worried that they will lose their job, lose the money they already have, lose their spouse, lose their health, and so on. The only true security in life comes from knowing that every single day you are improving yourself in some way, that you are increasing the caliber of who you are and that you are valuable to your company, your friends, and your family. (Anthony Robbins)

What Does This Quote Suggest?

To me, it suggests that we need to focus on the positive, not the negative.

All too often, we focus on everything bad that is happening or MIGHT BE happening to us.

That’s garbage. That’s not the way to go. We need to focus on everything positive that is happening to us.

Worry Is A Funny Thing - Sort Of

I have a saying that I quote constantly:

She who worries BEFORE it is necessary, worries MORE than is necessary.

In other words, if we focus on everything bad that “might” happen, we’re going to be so wrapped up; so tied up; there’s no way we can do anything positive.

That simply won’t work here !

You Have To Learn To Trust Yourself

We have to learn to believe in ourselves. We have to learn to believe in our abilities; our talents and our ideas.

Guess what happens when we do that?

We become secure !!!

Security Comes And Goes

Security has 2 elements to it. The first one is:

How secure do we feel at this moment? - That comes and goes. It goes up, it goes down. BUT, it is constantly changing.

The second one is:

How secure do we feel in our lives? - That my friends, is an entirely separate matter and is much more important than the first element.

Do you know what the difference is?

Security in the moment = Short Term Security

Security in our lives = Long Term Security

That is the difference !!!

What Type Of Security Are You Trying To Achieve?

Personally, I believe BOTH short term and long term security are important.

The problem I often see is that everyone focuses on the short term and doesn’t focus on the long term.

That’s where the problem is.

Sit back, relax. Believe in yourself. Believe in your abilities. Believe in your talents. Believe in your ideas.

That is what will make you successful. That is what will help you persevere through any hardships you encounter.

If you enjoyed this post, make sure you Stumble It!
Until next time, take care, my dear friends.

Paul:

You already have it within yourself.

Just look for it, feel it and let it out . . .

Basis of insecurity is fear. And one of the greatest fear is the fear of unknown. To eradicate fear is to know our true inner self first. When we know ourselves, we then know how best to protect, defend and more importantly, grow and strengthen ourselves.

Vivienne:

As they say in the book / movie Dune written by Frank Herbert.

I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.
