Vivienne:

You are 100% correct in everything you say.

That's why I say we should focus on our youthful aspects, which is exactly what you said.

Please stick around. We need more thoughtful comments like yours.

What you focus expands. When we focus of think young, act young, we will be forever young. Nobody that rob away our youthful enthusiasm and energy (even it it's just in the emotional, mental and spiritual mind) if we chose to upkeep them well.

No, No, No.

Not a Coke float.

You need a Dr. Pepper float. That lends a totally different taste to it.

Take care my new found 8 year old friend.

Here's to harnessing all that miraculous potential and channeling it to do good things. I think I'm going to make myself a coke float--my favorite as an eight-year-old--and get to work! Thank you, Stanley, for sharing such a great quote and analysis--especially of the power of the coexistence of our "inner child" and mature self!

Stephanie:

You just touched on a "hot button" of mine. It gripes me to no end when people give kids limiting beliefs.

Heck, one of the guys I interviewed for my upcoming third book was told by his high school choir director that he couldn't sing and would never be a solo act.

20 years later he bought his former teacher front row seats at a musical concert where he was doing a solo act to close the show ...

Some kids get turned off when they're told they can't do things. Others get turned on . . .

I say let's get turned on. Miracles happen every day !!!

Stanley,

This post reminds me of a recent conversation I overheard where a man in his early 80's was telling a Middle School age girl that her musical aspirations where misplaced and that she should pursue something practical. How does someone do that to a kid? I imagine it was his own experience talking but it seemed hurtful.

Best regards,

Stephanie
