What Does This Quote Mean?

While the quote talks about hopefulness, it also talks about humility, which is Law #51 and it’s next up on the schedule).

The interesting thing is that the quote suggests BOTH are important and are in fact opposites of each other.

If we fail to see our failures and only see our successes, our egos will become so inflated that we we lose our modesty.  We will begin to believe that we can do no wrong and that we don’t need help from others.

On the opposite end, if we fail to see that our failures can (and will) provide us with the experience we need in order to be successful, we will lose all hope.  After all, think about it.  Failing beats us down.  Every time we fail, that’s an easy excuse to give up, IF WE LET IT BE AN EXCUSE.

Instead, we must analyze those failures and learn from them.  What are our failures teaching us, IF WE ONLY BOTH TO LOOK AT THEM AND LEARN.

Hope Can Be A Powerful Thing

I can think of many times along the way when it would have been easy to give up on this whole personal development aspect of my career.  In fact, I had many people along the way suggest that I might want to give up.

BUT NO, I’VE REMAINED HOPEFUL THROUGHOUT! And, because of that hope, I’ve stayed in the game.   By staying in the game and sticking it out, I’ve been positioning myself to be ready as the opportunities come my way.  And guess what?  The opportunities are beginning to come my way.

That’s What Hope Does For Us

Hope gives us the energy and the power to stay in the game, even though we have previously failed.  It keeps us from giving up.  After all, anybody can begin something.  FEW PEOPLE CAN FINISH IT!

If you want to be successful, you have to remain in the game.  You have to keep going no matter what.  You have to believe in yourself, your abilities, your talents and your ideas.  In short, you have to have confidence.

But, your confidence needs to be tempered with humility.  That’s what the next post is about, so stay tuned.

All AIQers Have Hope

As you know from reading this blog, the 4 traits of highly successful people (Achievement IQers – AIQers) are that they have:

VISION – They see opportunities others do not see.

ATTRACTION – They attract opportunities others do not attract.

READINESS – They position themselves to be ready to act, when the opportunities comes.

ACTION – They actually act upon the opportunities when they come.

Hope is what keeps you in the game and gives you the energy to stick it out until the opportunities come your way.
