What Is Meant By Being Creative?
To me, “creating” means making something come into existence that was not there before. Creativity results from originality AND from being willing to express our ideas.
Creativity Is The Most Powerful Force There Is In The Universe
Nothing is more powerful than creativity. The ability to create something that previously did not exist is unbelievably powerful. It is amazing what we can accomplish, ONCE we cultivate and unleash our creative abilities.
Creativity Is A Two Step Process
Those two steps are CULTIVATION and UNLEASHING.
Cultivating Your Creativity
Cultivate - To promote or improve the growth of something by labor and attention. To develop or improve by education or training; train; refine. To promote the growth or development of (an art, science, etc.); foster. To seek to promote or foster.
To me, cultivation (or a lack thereof) is one of the greatest problems in our society. It’s funny, as I happen to believe we live in a society where possibilities exist that never existed before, YET, for some reason, our society also does things that stifle creativity.
For example, many people are afraid to express their ideas, as our society sometimes punishes people who like to “think outside the box.”. Yet, those are the people who ultimately turn out to be the greatest achievers.
Cultivation is key. You need to create an environment around yourself that cultivates creativity. IF you have children, you need to create an environment around them that cultivates their creativity. You need to do EVERYTHING you can to cultivate creativity EVERYWHERE you can.
Unleashing Your Creativity
Unleashing - To release from or as if from a leash; set loose to pursue or run at will. To abandon control of.
Setting things loose. That’s not always easy to do when you live in an “uptight” society. Please don’t misunderstand me, I think our society is about a free as it gets, but I also think that sometimes our society is so “uptight”, that it prevents us from getting things done. We spend so much time and energy arguing about whether or not something is right, when instead we could spend that time and energy actually accomplishing, NEW and GREAT things.
Letting go and actually unleashing our creativity is key. You need to create an environment around yourself that unleashes creativity. IF you have children, you need to create an environment around them that unleashes their creativity. You need to do EVERYTHING you can to unleash creativity EVERYWHERE you can.
What Is My Point?
My point is that we all need to let go. If we simply will let go, and let things happen, we will naturally be creative and we will naturally unleash that creativity upon the world.
The largest problem I often encounter is that people are afraid. Our society is afraid. Everybody is all too often afraid of something that is different.
Different is NOT necessarily bad. Open up. Unleash your creativity and make sure you allow others around you (your family members, your children, your employees, your acquaintances, etc.) to unleash their creativity too.
Until next time, take care, my dear friends.Mr. Achievement
