The reality is that Congress is directly taxing all sources of income as forbidden by the Constitution as originally crafted. I agree that we shouldn't refuse to pay our taxes on the claim that income taxation is unconstitutional. Our founding fathers made it unconstitutiona predicting that giving this power to Congress would herald the end of our Republic. And so the end of our Republic is rapidly approaching. A National Day of Mourning has been proclaimed for July 12, 2009, as it is the Centennial of the Birth of the 16th Amendment. On that day of infamy the 61st Congress passed the 16th to the States beginning the ratification process which took until early 1913 to be completed. In 1913 Congress passed the Federal Reserve Bill giving to powerful private bankiing interests its power to "coin money and determine the value thereof". Thus Congress took two great "self-corrupting" steps which have gradually transferred power from we the people to they the Congress.
