Find Your Style And Don’t Be Afraid To Follow It
Today’s Meditation
Think of some of the popular, successful individuals such as Madonna (music), Bill Gates (computer software) and Warren Buffet (investing). Were they conformists? Did they follow a set pattern in their rise to the top? What about the famous actress, Bette Davis, who was commonly known for her saying: “I did it my way”?
All of these highly successful individuals, and countless others, achieved success in spite of, and maybe even because of the fact that they were non-conformists. They found their own style and were not afraid to follow it. They believed in themselves when others did not.
In life, it is often the people who are able to “think outside the box” who are best able to create and act upon fresh new ideas. Thinking outside the box means being able to conceive, consider and develop ideas that are outside of one’s current societal norm.
The key to FINDING your style is stepping back and analyzing the way you like to do things.
The key to FOLLOWING your style is believing in yourself.
If you do not believe in yourself, you will not have the courage to act upon your ideas. If you believe in yourself, you will find that you have incredible power to make your dreams come true.
Self-confidence can be very empowering.
The more you believe in yourself, the more successful you will be. The more successful you are, the more you will believe in yourself. It is a cycle that builds upon itself.
The key is to be confident enough to take that first step.
My next post will talk about momentum . . .
Analysis
As you meditate upon this thought, ask yourself the following questions:
- What type of environment do you like to work in?
- What types of things do you like to work on?
- Are you an idea person, or a hands-on doer?
- Do you like a fast pace or a slow pace?
Until next time, take care.
