One other thing I heard today is that many animal shelters around the country (especially here in Phoenix), are filled to capacity with animals who have been abandoned in home as a result of the foreclosure crisis.

Abandoned dogs are up.

Donations to the shetlers are down.

The main Phoenix shelter is euthanizing 150 dogs a day. It's hard to think of something good about this aspect of the current financial crisis.

I talked to a lady this morning who had a stroke about a year ago.

Now she's writing books on stroke recovery and turning it into a public speaking business, ALL while helping people.

Great post Stanley! "If you are not ready, OR if you are only ready to deal with bad things, then you’ll will probably wind up with bad outcomes."

You're right, almost every bad situation seems to have a positive way out and if we just focus on the bad thing or believe we'll only get the bad thing, it's so easy to miss the positive side of it.

And it takes creativity to find the positive side.
