Dreams - How To Dream More

by Stanley Bronstein on September 29, 2008

People Ask Me How It Is That I Have So Many Vivid Dreams

Long term readers of this blog know that I like to talk about my dreams from time to time (especially the good ones).

I’m often asked, how do you have so many vivid dreams?

The answer is simple.

I set myself up to have these vivid dreams.

How Do You Set Yourself Up To Have Vivid Dreams?

Almost every night, right as I lay down in bed preparing to fall asleep I meditate for 5 minutes.

During that 5 minute meditation, I think about all the things I want to dream about.  I think about the subjects that are on my mind.  I think about my problems and I think about my need for solutions.

Then I simply drift off to sleep.

It doesn’t happen all the time, but you would be amazed about how often I will then proceed to dream about the very issues I was thinking about right before I fell asleep.

When In The Night Do I Have My Best Dreams?

Personally, I find that my best dreams typically come much later in the night, in fact often right before I’m about to wake up.

Often, I will get up for a few minutes around 2:00 AM or so and do a little work on the computer for 5 or 10 minutes.  I then lay back down and drift off IMMEDIATELY into an INCREDIBLY DEEP SLEEP.

That’s the time in the night when I have my best dreams.

Try It.  You Have Nothing To Lose.

Seriously.  Try what I do.  It might work for you and it certainly can’t hurt.

Tomorrow, we will talk about how to remember your dreams.

Until then, there is some recommended reading for you below.
