Self-evident Truth #1
50 Key Questions Only We The People Can Answer

SELF-EVIDENT TRUTH #1

THE ACTUALITY PRINCIPLE

No organism will survive, in the long-term,

without first having reached a state of  consciousness

wherein it perceives its environment

as it actually is and responds accordingly.

Above, you will find a definition of what I refer to as the “Actuality Principle.”  Let’s examine the key words closely.

Organism – Any  complex  thing  or  system  having  properties  and  functions  determined  not  only  by  the  properties  and  relations  of  its  individual  parts,  but  by  the  character  of  the  whole  that  they  compose  and  by  the  relations  of  the  parts  to  the  whole.  A form of life considered as an entity.  Any organized body or system conceived of as analogous to a living being.

Survive – To  remain  or  continue  in  existence  or  use.  To get along or remain healthy, happy, and unaffected in spite of some occurrence.

Long-term – Covering a relatively long period of time.

Without - With something absent or lacking.

First - Before some other thing or event.  Before all others or anything else.

Reached - To come to or arrive at in some course of progress or action.

State – The  condition  of  a  person  or  thing,  as  with  respect  to  circumstances  or  attributes.

Consciousness – Awareness  of  one’s  own  existence,  sensations,  thoughts, and surroundings.  Awareness of something for what it is.  Full activity of the mind and senses.  The  thoughts and feelings, collectively, of an individual or of an aggregate of people.

Perceive – To  become  aware  of,  know,  or  identify  by  means  of  the  senses.  To recognize, discern, envision, or understand.

Environment – The  aggregate  of  surrounding  things,  conditions,  or  influences.  All external factors surrounding and affecting a given organism at any time.  The social and cultural forces that shape the life of a person or a population.

Actually – Existing in act or fact.  As something exists now.  Reality.

Respond – To reply or answer in words or by actions.  To exhibit some action or effect as if in answer to a stimulus.

Accordingly – In agreement with.  In conformity with.

Putting that all together:

No living person or system can remain in existence for very long without first having  arrived at a level of full, realistic awareness of  their own existence, sensations, thoughts, and surroundings and then responding accordingly after having done so.

In other words, in order for America to continue to exist in the long-term, it must consciously ascertain its place in the world and then respond accordingly after having done so.

In short, (i) America must first wake up and realistically examine its present situation and (ii) then act accordingly.

It is my present contention that America has failed to do either one for a very long time.
